Vickem Group
is a leading suppller of dyestuffs and chemicals
to the Vibrant Thai Textile market. The Group serves
as sole distributor for many international brands
in the Industry, as well as manyfactures selected
dyestuffs for both local and export markets
Vickem Group consists
of two main companies, namely Vickem Patana and
Seng Thai Industry. Vickem Patana is a major supplier
of textile dyestuffs and chemical in Thailand, being
sole agents for many well-known companies. Vickem
Patana distributes dyestuffs for international firms
like Mitsui BASF Dyes of Japan, Sodyeco of the United
States, and Chemicals of the United Kingdom; as
well as distributes chemicals for leading firms
like Toho Chemical of Janpan, Pronova of Norway,
and Chemische Fabrique Grunau of Germany, In addition
to its trading business, Vickem Patana also Involved
in manufacturing of selected chemicals based on
formulation form its suppliers.
Seng Thai Industry is a leading local manufacturer
of dyestuffs for the textile and tanning industries.
With annual capacity of 1,800 metric tons, Seng
Thai currently produces over 140 dyestuffs in four
main categories - namely acid, direct leather and
reactive dyes. Over 70% of its products are exported
to markets like Taiwan, Hong Kong / China, Japan,
Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey and the United
States. In order to tap into the growing potential
of the indocchina market, Seng Thai also holds a
stake in a Vietnamese company to allow for an effective
and efficient distribution of its products in the
region.

History
|
The founding of Vickem Group began
with the establishment of Vickem Thailand in 1997
by Mr. Supachai Apichaidejudom, current President
and C.E.O. of the Group. The Company's then operations
mainly dealt with the trading of textile chemicals
and dyestuffs. In order to expand operations in
the core business, the Group backward integrated
to the manufacturing of dyestuffs in 1991 through
the establishment of Seng Thai Industry. In order
to diversify form the chemical business, the Group
also invested in other industries such as real estae,
wood products and consulting services.
